Tables
Most of the tables I build are made using very old flat belt pulleys. I bought them back in the mid-60's from the owner of the only water-powered foundry west of the Mississippi. These old wheels are the real McCoy. They weigh anywhere from 2 to 250 pounds! These pulleys were used to transfer power by means of a long large flat belt to drive all kinds of machinery starting in the later 1800’s.
This wheel has 8 cast iron spokes riveted to the steel rim and a 1/4" plate glass top.
